I Thought I Had Built a Good Life… Until I Noticed What Was Missing (Part 3)

I didn’t decide to change anything.

It just happened gradually. Over time, small habits started shifting.

I spent less time on my phone at night. Not because I was trying to avoid it.

It just didn’t feel necessary anymore.

I became more present in small moments. Even conversations felt less mechanical.

Less rushed. One afternoon, I brought a flower with me.

Not as part of a purchase. Just something I picked up on the way.

I told her:

“I think I’ve been repeating the same days for too long.”

It wasn’t something I had planned to say. It just came out.

She didn’t try to analyze it.

She just listened. And somehow, that was enough.

My life didn’t change overnight.

Everything is still there. Work, responsibilities, structure.

But now there’s something else as well. Something simple.

Something I didn’t expect.

And for the first time in a while…

things don’t feel completely automatic.
